Community Park

Residents enjoy the amenities of a unique seven-acre community park, including an open-air Pavilion that is perfect for community or private gatherings or a simple family picnic.  Our multi-purpose field  may be used  for soccer or baseball, and is the perfect place for families to enjoy sports activities together.  Adults and children alike will enjoy shooting hoops on the basketball court or playing a game of volleyball on the soft, sandy volleyball court.  Little ones will delight in the fully equipped playground, which provides two play areas, a swing set and play equipment for crawling, climbing and sliding. 

        Park Hours:  7 A.M. to 10 PM.

Swimming Pool

A resort style swimming pool, complete with changing facilities, is available for swimming and sunbathing.  The lush landscaping and palm trees surrounding the pool provide a peaceful, tropical environment in which to relax and enjoy the Florida sunshine.  Babies and toddlers have their own private wading pool.

Tennis Courts

Tennis enthusiasts will appreciate the 5 Har-Tru tennis courts which are lighted to allow play day and night.  Our full time Tennis Pro, Charlie O’Brien is available for private lessons. Residents may choose to participate in a wide variety of tennis activities offered, from tennis clinics and tennis socials to the youth program which includes a summer tennis camp.

Social Activities

In addition to the variety of social activities for adults and children held at the Community Park, Alaqua Lakes also has an active Ladies Association which hosts numerous charitable fundraising and social events from September through May each year.  Couple’s Game Night, Dinner Club, Ladies’ Day Out, Garden Club, Ladies’ Luncheon, Wine Tasting Club and Helping Hands Committee are just some of the many other activities of the Ladies Association which enhance our Community by providing a special link to meet with friends, new and old, and to enjoy the pleasures of life.

 Realizing the blessings we have, the Ladies Association also actively supports charitable organizations as well, including Breast Cancer Research, Pancreatic Cancer Research, The Russell Home for Atypical Children and Safehouse of  Seminole. 

The goal of the Alaqua Lakes Ladies Association is:

To unite neighbors, build relationships, and  promote a
healthy, caring environment in this place we all call “Home”.
